On Monday the 22nd a single action of the National Resistance Front of Palestine killed 21 of the invading Israeli soldiers. In addition an IDF captain and two majors were killed in a separate action. With a death toll of 24, last Monday was the deadliest day for the Israeli forces since the start of their current ground offensive against Gaza.

What happened to the 21 soldiers described as being among “the best of our sons” by Israeli politicians and media? According to the IDF themselves, the soldiers were demolishing two buildings 600 meters from the border as a part of an effort at making a “buffer zone” from a nearby Israeli settlement. While the soldiers were planting explosives to level the buildings they were ambushed by the Palestinian Resistance. An rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) likely set off mines planted by the IDF. The explosion brought down the building killing 19 Israeli soldiers. Another RPG hit a tank that was protecting the operation, killing the tank commander and another soldier.

While the plans laid out by the Israeli defense minister, Gallant, deny any settlements in Gaza, the national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, is reported to have called for Israeli settlers to return to Gaza after the current military campaign and for a “solution to encourage the emigration” of the Palestinian people from Gaza. Similar statements have been made by the Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich, who has recently stated that removing 90 percent of the population of Gaza would help secure the region, adding that “If there are 100,000 or 200,000 Arabs in Gaza and not two million, the whole discourse about the day after will be different”.

On the 13th of December 2023 Harey Zahav, an Israeli company specializing in the constriction of illegal settlements in the West Bank, posted an ad for the presale of new houses in Gaza. The post shows renderings of luxury homes on a picture of a neighborhood in Gaza, destroyed by Israeli attacks, with the text “A house on the beach is not a dream”. While the ad later has been labeled as a “joke” by the company after international denouncement, it reveals the aspirations of the Israeli ruling classes and propagates their genocidal plan of ethnic cleansing and mass displacement to rob the rest of the land of the Palestinians.

The State of Israel continues carrying out its genocide against the Palestinian people. Today it was reported by the UN that almost 200 Palestinians have been killed and 354 have been injured by Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours. The Israeli military have been continuing their attacks on the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, which was previously designated a safe zone when the State of Israel ordered the displacement of northern Gaza. The hospitals in the city has particularly been targeted by Israeli attacks.

We are continuously reporting on actions and mobilizations in support of the Palestinian People and the National Resistance Front of Palestine:
