Mexico – Weekly newsletter: 6 Years Since the Forced Disappearance of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García

We share an unofficial translation of the Mexico section of the weekly newsletter of Sol Rojo Mexico.

On the 10^th of May it is 6 years since the forced disappearance of our comrade Doctor Ernesto Sernas García who was a professor of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca (UABJO), essayist, researcher, lecturer and lawyer for the defense of our comrades that were political prisoners during the six-year term of Enrique Peña Nieto, accused of terrorism and transport of explosives for exclusive use by the Mexican army. Dr. Sernas made a masterful defense confirming that everything was a setup by the old State; After this he was made disappear. After August of 2018 our organization, together with tens of democratic and revolutionary organizations in Mexico and the world, launched the campaign #DrSernasPresentaciónConVida which continues with force. Around this and as part of the second phase of our Days of Struggle in Defense of the Rights of the People, on the 6^th of May a combative rally was held in the Camp of Resistance that maintained by the craftsmen comrades on the Gurrión walkway, announcing that on the 14^th of May we will take to the streets demanding the presentation of our comrade Ernesto Sernas García alive, and that as of the 15^th of May we will be joining the actions of the democratic teachers who will launch the indefinite national strike, waiving the slogans of the teacher’s and people’s National Strike and the Boycott against the bourgeois electoral farce.
