The number of wars beat record in 2013 and tends to increase again

We publish a resume of the article by A Nova Democracia:

The number of wars beat records in 2023 with 53 conflicts in development, four more than in 2022, which was a record, as well. It overlaps with a greater reinforcement of the nuclear programs (mainly of the imperialist powers and superpowers) as a consequence of the preparation to the world’s uproar trend. The majority of the conflicts are wars of aggression, as in Ukraine or the Zionist invasion in the Gaza Strip.

Despite the decrease of deaths (from 310.000 to 154.000), this numbers are still one of the highest since 1989, mainly by the civil war in Ethiopia, and the wars of aggression in Ukraine and Gaza.

The responsible of this wars is imperialism. Usually those are direct invasions (by imperialist countries) or indirect (by puppet organizations) and the main reason for the confrontations are the uproars and contradictions caused by the imperialist policies of domination in colonial and semi-colonial countries.

Africa and Middle East in flames

Conflicts between different Islamic forces against UN missions (at the service of USA) stand out in Africa. This is the case with groups such as Al-Shabaab in Somalia against the military mission approved by UN (and supported by the African Union), the dominance and air strikes by the USA and the Somalian State itself.

Conflicts against imperialist mercenary forces, as the Wagner Group, also stand out. In Sahel, groups of similar character as the Somalian ones struggle against the mercenary troops in Mali and Burkina Faso. Both countries faced recently coup d’états by the dispute among imperialist powers and local ruling classes. Additionally, Russian rule substituted the French.

Also in Middle East, Yankee imperialism and Israel carries out occupation military wars in Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon or Iraq.

The Operation Al-Aqsa flood brought a new impulse to the mobilizations of the military forces of different countries attacked with imperialist invasions and operations.

Time of storms

In this scenario, different countries, mainly the imperialist, prepare themselves for war: the number of nuclear missiles increased in the last years, being the highest amount since 1950.

Everything shows that the world’s tendency is the increase of conflicts, mainly wars promoted by imperialist powers and superpowers against oppressed countries – because the situation of relative balance within imperialist discourage them of launching wars among them.

One conclusion is that the tendency is and will be to spur more the era of revolutions, when the peoples of the world will respond against the wars of aggression inspired by the anti-imperialist conflicts in curse.

A catalyst phenomenon of this process are the revolutionary forces that consciously leads the contradictions in this sense.

In Palestine the meeting of two different groups of the National Resistance stood out. It ended with unity in the question of the armed struggle and the construction of a Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital.

In the rest of the world, the mobilization of revolutionaries for the construction of organizations such as the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) is also moving in this direction.
