“Murders!” cry in Valencia

Yesterday numerous mobilizations were called in several cities to protest the criminal management by the Spanish State’s government and the Valencian regional government during the DANA. There were mobilizations in Valencia, Alicante, Elche, etc. The demonstration in Valencia was the most massive: hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets. Soon it was reported that there was a huge police deployment establishing checkpoints, blocking numerous streets at the center of the city and several helicopters were seen.

The demonstration in Valencia marched towards the city hall, strongly surrounded by the police. The social-democrats and opportunists attempted to manipulate the demonstration and make it peaceful. The demonstrators passed the control and started to confront the police.

There are numerous images of volunteers who came from the south of Valencia yielding their brooms and fiercely attacking the police.

The demonstrators unmasked the miserable role of the police: to protect the murders who abandoned the people during the catastrophic DANA. Numerous demonstrators reminded that the repressive forces were not there to help them in the worst moments, but they are now to protect the worst criminals. The demonstrators were ready to combat until the end and even put the police in very complicated situations, being the police officers cornered in several moments and needed retreat:

Bourgeois media from all over the world reported on that. ally regarding the clashes by the demonstrators and against the repressive forces. The national public broadcast, RTVE, as well as the regional public broadcast, Àpunt, did not mentioned anything regarding this during today’s morning.
