More about the celebrations of International Women’s Day around the world

There are more reports on action on the actions of the masses and revolutionaries around the world on March 8, International Women’s Day. Yesterday we published the first of these reports of actions carried out in the world:

Yeni Demokrasi has published more reports on mobilizations done in Turkey. There was a powerful demonstration in Izmir:

During the Night Feminist March in Istanbul 112 women were detained. Yeni Demokrasi has announced that 111 have been released.

Thousands of women have protested against the U.S.-Marcos regime in the Philippines. There have been marches in Manila, showing solidarity with the striking women workers of Nexperia company. Students from other locations have joined. Hundreds of women have also protested in Batangas City, Baguio City, Naga City, Iloilo City, Davao and many others:

In Bogota, Colombia, combative mobilizations have taken place in which graffiti has been painted on buildings. Actions have been carried out against statues, for example that of a reactionary former minister:

In Germany, Roter Bund (Red League) has participated in various mobilizations and carried out actions in several cities. In Cologne, activists participated in the demonstration and sold numbers of Roten Post and highlighted the example of women’s struggle in Brazil:

In Dortmund the Zionists lead the demonstration, so Roter Bund decided to distribute leaflets and hold a mobilization in another part of the city.

In Leipzig activists took part in two mobilizations, including a mobilization alongside the internationalist bloc with Palestine, which suffered harassment:

In Hamburg, the Women’s Red Committee mobilized together with pro-Palestinian activists in the proletarian neighborhood of Mümmelmannsberg. In a rally, the role of women in Brazil and Palestine was highlighted. The police tried to prevent the mobilization and harassed the activists:

In Bremen the Women’s Red Committee and Roter Bund held a rally in the Tenever neighborhood, highlighted the struggle of women in Palestine and Brazil and distributed leaflets denouncing the situation of women in Germany:

In Bergen, Norway, a united demonstration took place denouncing imperialism, where slogans were chanted in support of the struggle of the people and women in Brazil and Palestine:

In Kristiansand, the demonstration also showed strong support for Palestine and a clear internationalist character. Following the rally, activists from Kampkomiteen held a joint event with a Women’s Association:

The Purple-Red Collective together with Partizan and other collectives participated in a powerful mobilization in Zurich, Switzerland:

The Revolutionary Committees of the Spanish State have participated in the mobilization done in Valencia:

In Greece there have been mass mobilizations in several cities of the country, in which blocs of the Communist Party of Greece (Marxist-Leninist) [KKE (m-l)] have participated in the mobilizations in Athens and Thessaloniki:

In Galway, Ireland, socialist republican women have spread leaflets about the origin of International Women’s Day and put up posters highlighting the role of women in the Irish revolution:

In London, England, the IWD was commemorated with a march. The Anti-Imperialist Front (AIF) attended the march.
