
Turkey: 10 revolutionaries arrested in Izmir were attacked by guards

Ten revolutionaries who were imprisoned in İzmir and taken to Menemen Type T Prison were attacked by guards for refusing to comply with the standing count.
The revolutionaries, who were detained during home raids due to their participation in public demonstrations and were arrested yesterday morning, were assaulted in prison.
Among those arrested early yesterday morning were Diyar Fındık, a reader of Partizan; Birkan Polat, a member of the ESP Central Executive Committee; Serdar Aktürk and Cemal Kara from the Struggle Union Platform; Hasip Erkan Gökder, the representative of TÖP in İzmir; Emre Sarıkaya, a member of HDK Youth; Oğuzhan Salman from the Colors of Resistance; a member of Word and Action; Sefa Salman; and Mert Gökdeniz Ün.
The ten prisoners taken to Menemen Prison were distributed to different judicial wards one by one.
