According to a note of the friends of the People’s Students Movement (MEP), they held recently a meeting, a call to reorganize their rows at the secondary school, bachelor and high grade students. The students have discussed some of the tasks for their reorganization and have commented that they’ve played memory games with the images of the people’s movement and the international communist movement, realizing also a chess workshop and watching a documentary about the apartheid regime imposed by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people. The activity of the comrades of the MEP is very important in a context in which the young people are getting taken by the reaction through the so called “narco-culture” and other blunt ways that are enforcing the individualization, sexism, misogyny, reactionary violence and contract killing. We salute the efforts of the young comrades to reorganize the MEP!
At the same time the comrades of the Agrarian Indigenous Zapatist Movement (MAIZ) informed that the following days, the 26th and 27th of April, they will celebrate a series of activities commemorating the 15th anniversary of the murder of the activists Bety Cariño and Jyri Jaakkola (the last one was Finnish), who were gunned down in a paramilitary ambush during a Humanitarian Caravan that was directing itself to San Juan Copala, Oaxaca. The activities of MAIZ and the families of the fallen comrades plan a march, wall paintings and a political event in the graveyard where the comrade Bety has been buried. Fallen Comrades in combat, will live with us till the victory!
And at last but not least, the comrades of the Union of the Communities of the Northern Zone of the Isthmo (UCIZONI) are summoning for the “Regional forum: the Isthmo in dilemma, plundering or autonomy?” which will take place in the House of Culture in Juchitán on the 25th of April and where the participation of many different organizations and communities of resistance against the mega-projects like the wind farms, the inter-oceanic corridor and others are being estimated. Combat and resist against the imperialist mega-projects of displacement and death!
