Four paramilitaries were eliminated today when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off in the Bastar division, Chhattisgarh. The explosion occurred today in the forest area of Adnar, on the border of Narayanpur and Kanker districts.

The paramilitaries were part of a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) which was carrying out a combing operation in the area. The inspector in charge of the Kanker DRG Team was among the eliminated paramilitaries.

After the triumphalist claims made by Modi and Shah, and the deadline for the 31st of March to “eliminate Naxalism”, once more it is clear that the Indian ruling classes have failed in its purpose to eradicate Maoism.
