Stop Operation Kagar NYC Coalition Faces Censorship on Instagram
The organization Stop Operation Kagar NYC Coalition has seen some of their posts removed from Instagram. According to Meta, the reason is that the content of the posts “may threaten or harass others, or target them with content or messages that shame or disrespect them”. Other reason is that the post “may contain symbols, glorification or support of people and organizations we define as dangerous”.
Stop Operation Kagar NYC Coalition explains that the posts removed were a video explaining the Naxalite movement in India, as well as all the evidence of the International Day of Action Against Operation Kagar on March 28, including photos and videos of the rally they organized in Jackson Heights, Queens.
The organization highlights the necessity to continue talking about the “genocide of Adivasis done by their own Indian government, and keep challenging the rampant and shameless corporatization and militarization of indigenous land in India”.
