In a ceremony for the launching of the Cunha Moreira Frigate in Itajaí (SC), President Luiz Inácio used the opportunity to demand more investments for the reactionary Armed Forces, in an attempt to justify a larger budget to account for the USD 2,671,298,728 defense program investment, A Nova Democracia (AND) reports.

Ignoring the fact that the doctrine and operational integration of the Brazilian Armed Forces are increasingly subjugated to the interests and guidelines of the US, Luiz Inácio’s rhetoric seeks to associate military investments with a supposed development of the defense industry and sovereignty, to supposedly defend the country from foreign threats, possibly referring to Donald Trump, according to AND.

State and federal police officers and the military have been conducting “exchanges” for exercises and courses in the US, on top of the increasing subjugation of national systems, as for instance the use of basic American operating systems such as Windows and various espionage systems, the Global Positioning System (GPS), communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, in addition to the banking and internet systems being completely linked to US systems.
