Latest Actions in the People’s War in the Philippines

We hereby share the latest actions carried out in the People’s War in the Philippines by the New People’s Army (NPA). As Philippine Revolution Web Central (PRWC) informs, one intelligence asset and one murderer were eliminated by the NPA.

One intelligence asset of the 15th Infantry Battalion was eliminated in Sitio Gut-ak, Barangay Abaca, Cauayan on July 9th after a ruling of the People’s Court. As PRWC states, the element “was directly responsible for guiding the military in a failed raid targeting Red fighters in the area.” Even though his action did not affect the revolutionary army, it did lead to the reactionary army taking a child with special needs hostage, causing the father to suffer a fatal cardiac arrest. They also add that the intelligence asset abused his wife physically, and threatened and terrorized his neighbors, with the intimidation of the military behind him.

The People’s Court also ordered the execution of a known murderer who was also involved in theft of livestock from the masses. PRWC states that “The NPA-Northern Negros will continue to implement the orders of the people’s court, with the aim of providing justice to the people who have long been denied justice under the reactionary State.”
