LONG LIVE MARXISM-LENINISM-MAOISM

Unite and Retake the Revolutionary Road!

106 years of the Communist Party of Great Britain

The 31st of July 2026 marks the 106th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Great Britain, the party of and for the liberation of the working class.

The Party was formed from the most advanced, militant sections of the powerful industrial workers movement of the time. They understood workers could only achieve true political power by forming their own Party capable of successfully leading workers in their combative struggle for socialism and liberation.

Whilst many claim the name of the “Communist Party” today, our class has remained without its vanguard since the loss of the CPGB as a revolutionary force due to revisionism. Reconstituting the Communist Party means decisively rejecting the path of elections and reformism, instead taking up the arduous task of developing revolutionary leadership in the many fronts of class struggle.

The Communist Party is a party of a new type. It must be able to weather the brutal repression of the ruling class whilst organising mass, revolutionary class-combat in service of the People. We do not commit ourselves to this task because it is easy, but because it is the unavoidable task that revolutionaries must take to achieve Socialist Revolution in Britain.

As the ranks of the proletarian and anti-imperialist movements continue to grow across the country, this statement of unity demonstrates the growing call of revolutionaries to recognise and take up the task of reconstituting the Communist Party on the path to Socialist Revolution. The revolutionary road is being taken once again. We will not stop until liberation.

“RECONSTITUTE THE COMMUNIST PARTY” – Revolutionaries Undertake Campaign of Actions Across the Country

With 2026 marking the 106th anniversary of the historic founding of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB), Maoists across the country organised a joint campaign to celebrate this historic achievement of the proletariat in Britain.

The achievement was momentous because for the first time the revolutionary forces of the proletariat in Britain were able to unite into a class vanguard, capable of actively developing the ever-present class struggle towards the Socialist Revolution that will finally depose the Capitalists and destroy British imperialism.

Posters were used to distribute the joint statement extensively
“LONG LIVE PEOPLE’S WAR”

Participants in the campaign included revolutionaries in areas including: Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Cambridge, Newcastle, Bristol and London.

Revolutionaries united ideologically to produce a joint statement. The statement affirms that the foremost task of all proletarian revolutionaries in Britain is the reconstitution of their vanguard Party, the CPGB, which was destroyed by revisionism and must be forged again within the class struggle. Importantly, the statement affirms that the form the class vanguard must take today is one based on Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.

To this end, a physical campaign in the streets of proletarian areas across the country was undertaken successfully.

For the revolutionaries across the country who understand the necessity of once again forging a vanguard for our class, the immediate task is to overcome their fragmentation and develop Ideological, Political and Organisational unity.

The required mass work that revolutionaries must conduct within the class struggle during reconstitution demands we struggle for this sort of unification. Genuine mass work will never be possible if revolutionaries lack the centralisation to conduct two-line struggle to forge a correct strategy, or to organise themselves as proficient and effective militants within the struggles of the masses.

Even in this situation of dispersal, revolutionaries today still exist amongst the masses and within their struggles. Across organs of struggle like the trade unions, tenant defence organisations, student study circles and anti-imperialist collectives, many revolutionaries and supporters of reconstitution remain active, building ties with the masses and developing their capacity to lead in struggles.

These forces, when organisationally united and armed with a Political strategy, have the potential to develop a mass movement of militant class combat amongst the masses, politicised towards the central goal of political power for the working class. With the guidance of the proletariat’s ideology, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, such a vision will be realised in reconstitution just as it is being realised throughout the world.

For the Communists from Peru to the Philippines, where revolutionaries have raised the class struggle to its highest form, the arduous task of reconstitution had to be completed to retake the revolutionary road. In dozens more nations, revolutionaries are organising the masses in their thousands as they take the revolutionary road toward reconstitution and Socialist Revolution.

The proletariat is a class without borders, it is the task of revolutionaries in Britain to commit ourselves to the reconstitution of the class vanguard in our country. It is the completion of this protracted and difficult task, the beginnings of which we see take shape today, which will empower the proletariat to be victorious in their struggle to usher in a new society and bring imperialism to its final defeat.
