India – CASR: Join Public Meeting in Solidarity with Documentary Maker Vishal Singh

We hereby share a call from the Campaign Against State Repression (CASR) published on their Facebook account on September 16.

The Campaign Against State Repression (CASR) warmly invites you to join a public meeting on the critical health condition of 35-year-old documentary filmmaker and political prisoner Vishal Singh who has been incarcerated for the past year in the Lucknow Conspiracy Case.

Vishal Singh’s health has severely deteriorated in custody. Both his kidneys have been seriously damaged, and doctors have advised dialysis three times a week. We demand his immediate release on medical grounds and raise urgent concerns about prisoners’ Right to Life and access to adequate medical care.

Public Meeting: Vishal Singh’s Medical Emergency in Custody: Right to Life and Medical Neglect

Where: Press Club of India, New Delhi

When: 18 September 2026 | 3:00 PM

We appeal to all democratic organisations, activists and concerned citizens to join the meeting and stand in solidarity with Vishal Singh.

Release Vishal Singh!

Release Political Prisoners!

Repeal UAPA!

In solidarity,

Campaign Against State Repression (CASR)
