France: AIL and Other Organizations Support pro-Palestinian Student

France (AIL): The AIL and other organizations support a student facing sanctions in a Paris court

On 18 February, the Anti-Imperialist Leagueand other organizations called for a solidarity action in front of a Paris court against the sanctioning of a student. The occasion was the hearing of student Téba, who was sanctioned after speaking out against the presence of supporters of what she considered a genocidal war in her study group.

The groups involved see the case as part of a broader crackdown on student and pro-Palestinian initiatives. They emphasize that political expression and solidarity with Palestine are legitimate and do not constitute criminal behavior.

The demonstrators demanded the student’s acquittal and an end to sanctions against engaged students.
