Poland: Success of Conference on the Palestinian National Resistance Movement

We hereby share a report that we have received.

Lately in Warsaw a conference on the Palestinian National Resistance Movement was held, it was attended by Anti-Imperialist Action Poland, Iskra and French delegations of Campagne Unitaire Pour la Liberation de Georges Abdallah (CUPLGIA) and Ligue de la Jeunesse Révolutionnaire (LJR), furthermore among others, Nidal Hamad – a veteran of Palestinian armed resistance spoke. The conference was attended by close to 40 participants.

Event was opened by greetings to the conference and statement about current situation of Palestine and its political prisoners that was sent from a representative of an armed resistance faction.

During the conference the matters such us; Formation of national program of Palestinian factions from the 60’s until present, Condition of political prisoners and struggle for their freedom, Repressions in the solidarity movement were discussed. Additionally the matters of National and Land Question were clarified on the example of the right to return for Palestinians and misconceptions of immediately socialist revolution in the region deconstructed on this basis.

During the event leaflets featuring the Polish translation of AIL Call for the Founding Congress in Ecuador could be found.

French delegations explained the nature and success of the Unitary Campaign for the liberation of Georges Abdallah – who has been free last year, having been the longest serving political prisoner in Europe, the situation in the French solidarity movement and the repressions its facing were also highlighted.

Many participants decided to show their solidarity with Alex who has been condemned by French state for his unyielding stance in defense of Palestine, as the below pictures that we received demonstrate.
