India – RSF Calls to Protest the Raids Against its General Secretary

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a call by Revolutionary Students’ Front (RSF) published yesterday, on the raids on Comrade Tathagata Roy Chowdhury.

Comrades,

As you all know, from 4:30 am today, June 18, 2026, several repression operations were carried out by the NIA in the fascist Gestapo fashion, of a on the activists of the long-standing mass movement in our state with political motives. In this operation, the General Secretary of the Revolutionary Students’ Front, Comrade Tathagata, a government school teacher and activist of the Sangramri Krishak Mancha, Comrade Sukumar Kayal, and an activist of the women’s liberation movement, Feminists in Resistance, Comrade Jhelum Roy, were harassed at their homes and workplaces. Since the BJP came to power in our State by depriving millions of people of their citizenship and rigging the elections, we have seen how this BJP government is bringing State terror on the working people across the State in the interests of corporate interests. While on one hand, Trinamool MPs, who call themselves “anti-BJP” and seek votes, are flocking towards BJP one by one for their own interests, on the other hand, these activists are actually advancing the work of building a mass movement for the benefit of the wider people outside the hype of this election; as a result, the BJP-RSS-driven Brahminist Hindutva fascist Indian State has adopted such a policy of repression to prevent the development of a large mass movement.

As long-time partners of the mass movement, you all know that this attack is not the first, nor will it be the last; rather, in the coming days, this process will be more intense and violent to suppress all kinds of opposition voices. Therefore, we appeal to you, let us unite together to build public opinion against this repression process, and join in joint efforts to protect and expand the scope of our mass movement.

As an initial program of this process, let’s participate in this protest meeting tomorrow (June 19, 2026) at 3 pm.

Greetings to the struggle,

Revolutionary Student Front
