Actions for the 40th Anniversary of the Day of Heroism

On the 19th of June, the Day of Heroism is celebrated around the world; a day when the struggle of the Revolutionary Political Prisoners and Revolutionary War Prisoners are commemorated. This year we have already published actions from Portugal, art work published by Dem Volke Dienen from Germany, texts from Mexico and Ecuador.
We hereby share some more actions and statements made on this occasion:
Germany
In Essen at a memorial for the worker murdered by police in Altendorf in 2010, Adel B., the speeches emphasized the Day of Heroism and the global struggle against imperialism. In addition a wall painting with the following slogans was made at the Essen-West S-Bahn station: “June 19, 1986-2026 | 40th Anniversary of Heroism Day | Long live Heroism Day! Glory to the fallen heroes!”



On 18th of June In Düsseldorf revolutionaries organized an annual commemorative walk in remembrance of comrade Hilarius Gilges on the anniversary of his assassination. The event also served as a link to the Day of Heroism.

France
La Cause du Peuple published a statement and actions in Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers, Limoges, Lyon, Toulouse, and Lille:






Finland
In Finland wall paintings and banderole drops were reported in Tampere, Turku and Helsinki:







Portugal
A video with a speech from Anti-Imperialist Action Portugal (AAI) was published and several wall paintings were made.


Netherlands
REBEL! Magazine made a statement to honor the Day of Heroism.
