We have gathered here international actions and statements on the International Day of the Detained-Disappeared, August 30, 2026.
The Front of the People – Red Sun Mexico along with several other organizations called for actions demanding the presentation alive of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García. Sol Rojo has gathered international actions. We have reported on the campaign previously.
In the United States, several groups supported the campaign called for by The Front of the People – Red Sun Mexico, demanding the safe return of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García. The Worker published an editorial and bulletins about his enforced disappearance, while the New African Black Panther Party collaborated on raising awareness. In Oklahoma City, the Revolutionary Student Union, New Labor Committee, The People’s Defense Committees, and People’s Current “Damien García” held a rally outside the Mexican Consulate, displaying banners and images of Dr. Sernas and imprisoned activist Jesús Plácido Galindo.









In Chile, several actions were carried out by activists in the City of La Serena, Coquimbo.





International League for People’s Struggles (ILPS) also made a call for action and published news and statements regarding the International day on their platforms. They reported on protests in Europe, the Philippines and Latin America.
