India – RSF: Book Fair Against Attacks on Literature

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a Facebook post published by the Revolutionary Students’ Front – RSF on October 31.

Since seizing power, the fascist BJP government, the corrupt police, and the Hindutva goons have been carrying out attacks on progressive, democratic, anti-fascist, revolutionary literature, books, and their authors. Sometimes they threaten publishers, sometimes they beat people, and sometimes they tear books apart and destroy stalls – and it’s all happening nonstop. The aim is to silence every voice that obstructs or questions the distorted fascist history, philosophy, and agenda. Against this, yesterday (31/10/2026), various progressive organizations and individuals organized a book fair at College Square in Kolkata. On behalf of the Revolutionary Students Front (RSF), we were also present there to spread revolutionary Marxist-Leninist-Maoist literature, the agrarian revolutionary politics of Naxalbari, and the ideology of a New Democratic Revolution for the liberation of the masses.
