NPA kills several military informants and a traitor
In the last weeks New People’s Army (NPA), lead by the Communist Party of the Philippines, carried out an ambush on agents of the miliary as well as two executions of informants.
On the 20th of May in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, Eduardo Balansag was sentenced to death and executed by the Leonardo Panaligan Command of the NPA. Balansag was an intelligence asset of the Philippine military and a major drug dealer in the area. He was executed for one count of rape, one attempted rape, and for serious threats against his victims. The Filipino police did not arrest him for his crimes because he was protected by the military.
A .357 revolver, ammunition and documents containing valuable information were confiscated from him by the NPA.
On the 25th of May, in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, Raul Emancino was executed by a unit under the Mt. Cansermon Command of the NPA. Emancino was an important informant for the Filipino State, who was a suspect in the murder of two members of the NPA, Elbert Nicholas “Ka Carding” and Je-is “Ka Clea”. The two NPA members were arrested and brutally killed by the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army, in Emancino’s house.
The Revolutionary People’s Court summoned Emancino to answer to the charges and explain his side of the case. After investigating and discussing the case the Court concluded that he was involved in the murders.
On the 29th of May, in the Municipality of Mobo, Masbate Island, a unit under the Jose Rapsing Command of the NPA successfully ambushed three intelligence assets of the Philippine military. Two of the agents, Nestor “Renbo” Purisima and Junjun Solicito were killed, while another of their colleagues was left in a critical condition.
Purisima was a former member of NPA who defected. He surrendered to the military and became a traitor to the movement and the masses.
The three agents who were ambushed were involved in crimes against the masses such as theft, intimidation and the murder of peasants.
