Condolences message in the occasion of the death of Comrade Jaime Rangel
The International Communist League-ICL manifests its deep grief for the occasion of the death of Comrade Jaime Rangel, founder and leader of the Communist Worker Union (MLM) of Colombia.
Comrade Jaime Rangel was a prominent son of the workers movement in Colombia and an active participant in the two line struggle in the International Communist Movement. The Comrade stood out for his role in the theoretical struggle around marxism-leninism-maoism and against revisionism, that was developed in the public debates and in the process of preparation of the Unified Maoist International Conference, as well as in its later stage, since the foundation of the International Communist League in December 2022.
His premature death is an unarguable loss for the International Communist Movement in the moment where it advances, amid fierce two line struggle, in its process of reunification to give a new and powerful impulse for the World Proletarian Revolution.
The ICL extends to UOC (MLM), its leaders and militants, as well as all his relatives, our most heartfelt condolences.
