A soldier of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force was killed and another one was injured by an explosion of an IED planted by Maoists in the Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on the 13th of December. The explosion happened in the Aamdai Ghati iron ore mine area, where the armed forces and the police were carrying an operation to maintain control over the area. The next day, on the 14th of December, a Border Security Force (BSF) head constable was killed in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh in an IED explosion as well. On the 14th of December there also was an exchange of fire between Maoists and the Special Operation Group (SOG) and district voluntary force (DVF) in Boudh, Odisha.

In the Bijapur-Sukma district border area, Maoists held a large celebration for PLGA week together with the villagers of the area. A banner in support of the struggle of the Palestinian people was displayed, and the public was called to support the Palestinian people. It was also informed that in the last 11 months, 54 had given their lives for the revolution, among them Katkam Sudarshan, who was a member of the Politburo of the CPI(Maoist). Songs were sung and slogans were shouted during a rally, which gathered a large number of people in the area.

In addition, a statement signed by Abhay, spokesperson of the Central Committee of CPI(Maoist), was released to demand the release of Party cadres Veng and Bhavani who were arrested and jailed by the Mancherial police in Telangana. Veng has served in the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee Secretariat and the Central Technical Committee member. It was also demanded that the elderly and sick comrades receive necessary medical treatment during their incarceration.
