Turkey: Grave visits within the scope of the “Week of Commemoration of Party and Revolution Martyrs” continue

The activities organized within the scope of commemoration events for the martyrs of revolution and communism in January of each year continue with commemorations held at the graves of the martyrs in many regions of Istanbul.

The commemorations held in Istanbul on the occasion of the “Week of Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Party and Revolution” continued with the visit of the graves of the martyrs of revolution and communism in Gülsuyu Cemetery. While the graves of Hatice Dilek, Perihan and İsmet Çolak, Yaşar Yiğit, Güzel Şahin, Onur Bayrak were visited and carnations were left, a representative commemoration was held at the grave of Erol Özel. The commemoration started with a moment of silence at the grave of Erol Özel, for those who became immortal in the cause of revolution and communism, and a speech was made on behalf of Partizan, and it was once again emphasized that we will achieve victory sooner or later with devotion to the ideals of those who became immortal in the cause of revolution and communism. As the commemoration ended after a speech made by a comrade who knew Erol Özel about his life in struggle, the graves of revolution martyrs Ozan Sökmen and Baran Gülümser in Gülsuyu Cemetery were visited and carnations were left.

Additionally, commemorations were held in Istanbul Cebeci and Yayla Cemetery within the scope of January.

There was commemorations at the graves of Dilek Polat, who was immortalized in Ordu in April 2006, and of Murat Arıcak, who was immortalized in Giresun Bulancak in May 2003 .

GRAVES WERE VISITED IN SARIGAZI

Families of Partisan Martyrs and Prisoners visited the graves of those immortalized in the Party and Revolution Martyrdom in Sarıgazi, Istanbul.

Grave visits continue within the scope of the “Week of Commemoration of Party and Revolution Martyrs”. In this context, the Party and Revolution Martyrdom in Sarıgazi , Istanbul was visited by PŞTA.

Before the visit,the police harassed the families of the martyrs. In addition, the surroundings and inside of the cemetery have been blockaded by the police for days. Despite the blockade and harassment, PŞTA visited the graves and left carnations. It also commemorated the graves.
