Yesterday we reported on a massacre committed by the old Indian State in Kanker, Chhattisgarh, in which supposedly there was an armed clash and 29 Maoist guerrillas were killed after the assault on a guerrilla camp. This was the information given by the old Indian State and spread by its media. From the very beginning some of the published ‘information’ was denied, for example several of the names of the murdered ones.

The last reports published in the Indian reactionary press, point out that a big part of the murders were perpetrated in cold blood, in a fake encounter. According to these media, the Communist Party of India (Maoist) itself has denied the reports given by the old Indian State. Mangli, reportedly a spokesperson of the north sub-zonal bureau, has stated that 17 of the murdered were killed in cold blood, and not in an armed clash. These guerrilla were injured or were captured unarmed, then tortured and executed afterwards. The CPI (Maoist) has called for a bandh (general strike) in the following areas: Mohla-Manpur, Kanker and Narayanpur for the 25th of April, a day before the elections will be held in the Kanker district.

As we reported in the previous article published: “However, CPI (Maoist) has denounced in numerous occasions that these casualties mostly come from massacres committed against the people by the repressive forces, and murders in cold blood that have nothing to do with armed clashes. These murders are well-known as fake encounters. There was one at the beginning of March, another one at the end of March and a recent one at the beginning of April. Indian associations as FACAM and CASR have denounced these murders and other crimes against the people regularly.” Again we can see the crimes committed by the old Indian State, which tries to enlarge their figures and try to present victories in combat, which are nothing else than criminal massacres. According to the Turkish democratic newspaper Yeni Demokrasi the CPI (Maoist) has announced the establishment of a People’s Court that will punish those responsible.
