Greece: Mobilizations commemorate the 11th Anniversary of the murder of Pavlos Fyssas

On September 18 of 2013 the Anti-fascist rap singer Pavlos Fyssas was stabbed to death by Giorgos Roupakias, a member of the Nazi organization Golden Dawn, at the municipality of Keratsini, Pireus region. Besides being rap singer, Pavlos Fyssas was also a combative activist of the Greek people’s movement and payed a high price due to his commitment and struggle. Mobilizations have been carried out all over Greece since the year of his murder, to commemorate and denounce this murder and to reaffirm the necessity of the struggle against Fascism.

This year more mobilizations have been carried out.

On Tuesday 17th of September there was a series of concerts at the Pireus region. On Wednesday 18 a demonstration was carried out during the afternoon which went through the region. Thousands of Greeks took the streets in Keratsini and Nikaia. A combative bloc of the CPG (m-l) participated there with the slogan “Our future is not capitalism, but the revolution and socialism”.
