Netherlands – MAY 1st: COMBATIVE AND REVOLUTIONARY!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a May Day report published by REBEL! of the Netherlands on the 2nd of May.

On the 1st of May, International Workers’ Day, a militant mobilization took place with a distinctly anti-imperialist character. The day was marked not only by celebration, but above all by resistance and organization against current forms of exploitation and oppression.

Among those participating in the mobilization were Revolutionary Action, Inquilabi, Partizan, and the Anti-Imperialist League. Together, they formed a bloc that spoke out clearly against imperialism and capitalism and showed solidarity with oppressed peoples worldwide.

The atmosphere was combative and intense. Reactionary signs were smashed, reflecting the growing anger toward reactionary forces. At the same time, slogans of international solidarity with the People’s War in India and the revolutionary anti-imperialist struggle worldwide echoed through the streets.

This May Day was marked by a clear anti-imperialist voice, emphasizing the connection between local struggles and the global struggle for unity against imperialism. The mobilization underscored that the struggle continues and that more and more people are organizing for a future free from exploitation and oppression.
