Turkey, AGEB: Let’s Voice Our Anger Against Imperialism, NATO, and the G7 Summit!

We hereby share an unofficial translation of a statement by AGEB published on June 5.

Workers and laborers of all nationalities,

The G7 imperialist alliance—comprising the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, and Italy—will convene in the French city of Evian from June 15 to 17.

The G7 is one of the principal representatives of the imperialist-capitalist system. These alliances come together to protect the interests of monopoly capital, perpetuate the cycle of exploitation, and intensify policies of oppression, occupation, war, and massacre against oppressed peoples.

The heads of State of India, Brazil, Syria, South Korea, and Kenya have also been invited to this year’s summit. These invitations are part of the reactionary alliances that imperialists have established against the peoples of the world.

In India, the fascist Modi regime continues its policies of massacre against the Maoist movement and the people. The G7 imperialists are complicit in these attacks through their support for the Modi regime.

Like the G7, NATO is also a bloody war machine of the imperialist-capitalist system. To overcome their crises, the imperialists are imposing even more exploitation, oppression, occupation, and war on the people. Our task in the face of this is to strengthen international solidarity, stand in solidarity with the resistance of the oppressed peoples, and intensify the anti-imperialist struggle.

Let us join the protest action to be held in Geneva on June 14, fueled by the anger and spirit of resistance of the oppressed peoples, in opposition to the G7 imperialist summit taking place on June 15–17.

Let us strengthen solidarity with the peoples resisting imperialism, fascism, and reaction across the globe!

At the upcoming protest, let us take our place in the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) contingent, of which we are a part.

Let us shout our anger against imperialism!

Down with imperialist wars!

Long live the just people’s wars!

Long live the resistance of the oppressed peoples and nations!

Long live international solidarity!
