The Al-Quds Brigades eliminated an Israeli soldier on Sunday, while he participated in large-scale raids and detention operations in Al-Dhahiriya, West Bank, Palestine Chronicle reports.

The raids took place in the early hours of Sunday. Eyewitnesses reported aggressive home invasions, extensive searches, and property damage during the operations. There were repressive operations in East Jerusalem, in the Jenin governorate, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp south of Ariha (Jericho), in Al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah and in the town of Dhahiriya, south of Hebron (Al-Khalil).

It was in Dhahiriya, where the Palestinian resistance combatants targeted an Israeli infantry soldier. They fired “heavy barrages of direct gunfire” causing more casualties among the Israeli troops. Other resistance forces such as Hamas praised the operation.

The Israeli raids coincided with a new wave of settler attacks across the West Bank. The settlers set fire to agricultural land and four vehicles in the town of Jit, near Qalqilya. They also threw petrol bombs at Palestinian homes in both Jit and the village of Ein Arik west of Ramallah. They also attacked maintenance employees of an electricity company in the south of Bethlehem and in the same area vandalized private property and stole water pipes.
