Israeli Expansion of Illegal Settlements in Gaza and West Bank

The Defense- and Finance Minister of Israel announced plans for three illegal settlements in Gaza, and more than 400 million USD in funding for the construction of settlements in the West Bank.
The Defense Minister, says he intends to set up three “Nahal” outposts in northern Gaza. The Nahel outposts serve as a type of military settlement, which for decades has paved the way for the encroachment on Palestinian land by illegal Israeli settlers. Israel’s military commander in the region celebrates the settlers and their violence against the Palestinians, calling them partners in security with the military.

Israel’s deputy Chief of Staff Tamir Yadai, claims that Israel now controls 65% of Gaza, exceeding the agreed upon 53% brokered in the ceasefire last year.
