Ireland: Free Niall Sheerin!

Anti Imperialist Action Ireland fully supports the campaign by the Irish Republican Prisoners Welfare Association to Free Niall Sheerin.
Niall Sheerin is a Derry Republican currently being held hostage by British Imperialism in Maghaberry Prison.
Having been sentenced in a British Court in Occupied Ireland to seven Years imprisonment for his part in the struggle for National Liberation, Niall Sheerin has now served his sentence but the British Occupation is refusing to release him as her remains an unrepentant Irish Republican.
British Imperialism is using draconian legislation called the ‘multi agency review arrangements’ better known as MARA to intern Niall Sheerin.
Under this British legislation occupation can keep a prisoner interned after they have served their sentence, if MARA deem the Prisoner is still a threat to the British Occupation.
This means Niall Sheerin has a being interned without any release date, having served the sentence handed down in the occupation court.
This is a gross abuse of Human Rights ands the Free Niall Sheerin Campaign should be supported by all Republicans, Anti Imperialists, socialists and progressives.
Niall Sheerin is not a criminal. He is an Irish Republican who has a legitimate right to pursue the National Liberation and sovereignty of our country and our people. He should be back with his family, friends and community, where he belongs.
In the coming weeks and months AIA will be stepping up our support for Niall Sheerin and all Republican POWs as we continue to build and develop the campaign for National Liberation across Ireland.
