Brazil: AND Announces the 4th Literary Contest with the theme ‘The anti-imperialist struggle’

AND announces the 4th Literary Contest of Short Stories, Chronicles and Poetry with the theme ‘The anti-imperialist struggle’
The newspaper A Nova Democracia invites and calls upon friends and readers, writers, poets, artists, and all those who follow the struggles of oppressed peoples to participate in the IV National Literary Contest of Short Stories, Chronicles, and Poetry, which will have as its theme ” The Anti-Imperialist Struggle “.
As part of its commitment to promoting and defending a popular, democratic, and anti-imperialist culture, the contest seeks to gather literary works that express the perspective of the masses in the face of the most decisive struggles of our time. Short stories, chronicles, and poems that portray the resistance of peoples against domination, predatory war, national oppression, exploitation, and the various forms taken by imperialism may be submitted.
Registration is free and will remain open until 11:59 PM on November 15th, 2026, Brasilia time. Each participant may submit one work in each of the three categories: short story, chronicle, and poetry. The works must be original, written in Portuguese, and related to the contest theme.
The finalists will be announced before the closing and awards ceremony, which will take place in December 2026, on a date that is to be announced, during an event celebrating the year of struggles of the newspaper A Nova Democracia.
