Philippines: New People’s Army Eliminates Three Enemies in Negros
The New People’s Army (NPA) has carried out several actions over the past two weeks in Negros.
On June the 1st in Sitio Cagayon I, Barangay Tamlang, Escalante City the Roselyn Jean Pelle Command – NPA (RJPC-NPA) executed a successful active defense operation against a siege operation of the 79th Infantry Battalion (IB). As a column of the 79th IB approached the position of an RJPC-NPA unit, the red combatants seized the initiative and opened fire on the enemy soldiers.
There were casualties among the enemy, including one death, confirmed by the 79th IB themselves, while the red combatants were able to safely maneuver out of the heavily militarized area.
On June the 5th in Sitio Pison, Barangay Minautok, Calatrava, the Roselyn Jean Pelle Command-NPA executed the intel asset of the Philippine National Police-Calatrava and the 79th IB.
During his elimination, he fought with the red combatants, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Illegal drug paraphernalia, his intelligence ID, money, a .45 pistol, and a .45 magazine were seized from him.
The criminal was sentenced to death by the people’s court for his multiple cases against the people and the revolutionary movement. He was an active intel of the PNP and AFP and he also sold illegal drugs and was a famous gun-for-hire in Calatrava. Some of his cases as a gun-for-hire include the murder of a peasant in Sitio Vergara, Barangay Bug-ang, Toboso on the orders of Baby Lumayno, a big landlord; harassment against residents of Barangay Marcello; the massacre of the mass carabaos in Sitio Minauyahan, Barangay Minautok; and the murder of the activist leader known as Bador from Sitio Makatagak in the same town.
On June the 8th, 2026, at 7 am in Sitio Mag-anay, Brgy, an ex-CAFGU turned intelligence officer was sentenced to death under the Romeo Nanta Command – NPA.
After a thorough investigation, it was confirmed that the criminal played a role in the raid of his comrades on January 30, 2026 in which two comrades were murdered including the regional Party secretary Reynalde “Ka Amek” Erecre. He was tasked to spy on the movements of the revolutionary forces in the area before military operations.
