The Revolutionary People’s Student Movement (MEPR) and Red Unity – League of Revolutionary Youth (UV-LJR) report that dozens of activists and groups gathered in Rio de Janeiro for a three-day regional meeting. Their discussions focused on youth organizing, student struggles, women’s participation in revolutionary movements, and the political situation in Brazil and internationally.

The organizers call for an election boycott, while urging students to join broader struggles. They say MEPR’s work includes mobilizing students around their demands, opposing opportunism and revisionism, and broadcasting revolution in Brazil and abroad.

The meeting reviewed the group’s recent activities, elected a regional coordination team, and agreed to take part in an international solidarity initiative supporting the Communist Party of India (Maoist) and the People’s War in India. It concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to MEPR and to the group’s stated goal of a New Democratic Revolution advancing toward socialism.

As part of this meeting a solidarity video was also made, which we have received per email:

A Nova Democracia (AND) also shared an article gathering actions for the International Anti-Imperialist League’s (AIL) international campaign for the Indian people:
