Mexico: 31 years of Chairman Gonzalo’s historic speech

Last September 24th marked the 31st anniversary of Chairman Gonzalo’s historic speech, and in his honor various actions were carried out in different countries, which have been documented by the newspaper Red Herald.
Here in Mexico a meeting was held with revolutionary activists. After solemnly singing the hymn The Internationale to start the event, a panel discussion was presented explaining and discussing the importance of Chairman Gonzalo, his contributions of universal validity, the main one of these: the correct definition of Maoism as the third, new and higher stage of Marxism. In this event, the Anthology in defense of Chairman Gonzalo and his powerful thoughts has once again been spread by the Cultural and Science Studies Center for the Proletarian Revolution.
Highlighting the weight of his speech, the assistants agreed that with this speech all attempts of humiliation by the reaction fell down, denying in advance the hoaxes of the alleged capitulation that at another time Yankee imperialism, the Peruvian State and the rats of the Right Opportunist Line (ROL) grouped in Movadef wanted to sell.
Chairman Gonzalo has given us an imperishable example by converting the Callao naval prison into the highest shining trench of combat for the revolution. After a series of speeches, a documentary by the International Emergency Committee to Defend the Life of Dr. Abimael Guzmán, “You Must Tell the World” , published in 1993, was presented, allowing us to know the context in which the People’s War took place in Peru at the time of Chairman Gonzalo’s arrest.
The campaign that the International Emergency Committee began by calling for the defense of the life and leadership of Chairman Gonzalo continued for 29 years and ended up unifying after his assassination with the campaign to impose Maoism as the sole command and guide of the World Proletarian Revolution.
The video once again allowed the exchange of opinions and comradely discussion, honoring the memory of Chairman Gonzalo and highlighting the struggles that accompanied him around the world denouncing his arrest and subsequent murder. For example, in our country in 1992 the comrades took over the Peruvian embassy and this was repeated on September 13, 2021 when the news of his murder reached the world.
At the end of the work, some cultural contributions were presented with songs from the People’s War in Peru and the International Communist Movement.
