In addition, a manifesto of ”Carnival of Solidarity and Resistance” has been launched by activists in Minas Gerais, and signed by at least 23 carnival groups in the Belo Horizonte Carnival. In London, at least 10,000 people marched on the 2nd of February to denounce the genocide carried out by Israel. The police was monitoring the march heavily for “offensive slogans, banners and placards” and using CCTV to identify people, informing the protest that face coverings are not allowed to hide one’s identity. It is estimated that 20,000 people were present at the demonstration’s end rally, listening to the speeches.
