Students at Jean Renoir High School in Bondy, France, have blocked the school, demanding a public apology from the administration after racist insults were made public. They are also calling for the creation of an anti-racism committee led by students and teachers, and the establishment of an annual anti-racism week.

The school’s response was to send police to prevent the students – among whom were members of the French Communist Youth – from carrying out the protest.
