In this years G7 summit, to be held in Evian, France, the scene has been set for a puppet show, with several lackey heads of State being invited to the summit. While the country-selling puppets make their little dance for the G7 summit, the imperialists wring their hands at the prospects of developing further the lackey character of these oppressed countries, and securing a bigger piece of the pie for themselves.
Puppet show #4 – Lee Jae Myung
Next up is the 4th puppet invited to take the stage of the G7 Summit, Lee Jae Myung, president of South Korea. With no discomfort from the imperialist strings of his State, Myung will once again through his little puppet dance reiterate the full willingness of his government to bend its knee to its imperialist masters, principally the sole hegemonic superpower, Yankee imperialism.
The South Korean State, through its current representative, Lee Jae Myung, is no stranger to offering the life and blood of the Korean people on a platter for the interests of imperialism. Since the Yankee imperialist war of aggression on Korea subsided in 1953 – in a still ongoing ceasefire – South Korea has served the puppet master Yankee imperialism in nearly all of its wars of aggression, sending its people to die in the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and in Afghanistan.
South Korea is also one of the most important military outposts of Yankee imperialism in Eastern Asia, home to the biggest overseas US military base, Camp Humphreys, including many other bases throughout the country, as well as the regularly conducted military exercises preparing for a potential imperialist war of repartition with Chinese social imperialism, most recently the Freedom Shield exercise of 2025.
In 2002, two South Korean schoolgirls were murdered by US soldiers, ran over by a military vehicle returning from one such military exercise. The soldiers were fully acquitted, and people all over the country rose up in protest, with attacks – including petrol bombs – directed against the US military bases, as well as 50,000 people in Seoul raising their fist in struggle against US intervention in their country, while the government showed its miserable servitude.
In addition to being a military outpost of Yankee imperialism, South Korea also functions as a factory outpost for the US, producing everything from automobiles, industrial equipment, aerospace parts and electrical components like semi conductors, that are very relevant for Yankee imperialism to maintain its production of military equipment, used in its bloodthirsty wars of aggression and plunder throughout the world.
The peoples of the world will add the crimes of Myung the puppet, serving the interests of the criminal imperialists, to the ever growing list of imperialist crimes, as the G7 summit grows near. The anti-imperialist, democratic, revolutionary and progressive organizations and individuals will take to the street to show the imperialists and their puppets that wherever they may go, the struggle and rage of the people will follow.
We will continue to update on any new information regarding the G7 summit and the upcoming demonstration.
