The Israeli Attacks Against the West Bank Continue

Israeli military forces along with settlers carried out widespread attacks across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem overnight Thursday August 6th into Friday August 7th, raiding towns and refugee camps, storming homes and demolishing Palestinian property. One of the most intense operations took place in the Qalandiya refugee camp, between occupied Jerusalem and Ramallah.
Israeli forces carried out a two-day assault in Qalandiya that demolished and damaged homes and detained over 70 Palestinians. 51 people needed medical attention during the attack due to the use of tear gas and stun grenades.
Israeli raids also took place over the same days in the refugee camps of Jenin, as well as Tubas, Palestinian homes in Tammun and Khirbet Samra in the Jordan Valley. Israeli soldiers and settlers stormed the Tulkarem, Nablus, Bethlehem and Yatta.
On Friday August 7th, Israeli settlers used live ammunition against Palestinians in Bethlehem, wounding one of them. When an ambulance arrived, settlers attacked the medical crew, injuring two Palestinian paramedics.
Another Israeli attack by settlers and soldiers was reported in Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, where several Palestinians were attacked and one youth was arrested. Vehicles were also vandalized.
An investigation published by Quds News Network reports on the so-called “pastoral farms”, as part of an organized settlement system that expand the Israeli control over Palestinian territory. Young Israeli settlers are at the center of this expansion. They stablish pastoral outposts, preventing Palestinian peasants and shepherds from reaching the land. The settlers are often trained in firearms, physical combat and the use of drones. They are promoted by the Israeli State being part of its strategy of stealing the Palestinian land.
